First time here and well worth it. The family and I really enjoyed ourselves.

Exposed aircraft are a bit neglected...

Airplanes fly! Guests can get in WWII airplanes, WWII bomber machine gun turret and one of the oldest preWWII flight simulators. This is a working Commemorative Air Force (CAF) maintenance hangar with WWII musium and outside display airplanes, tank and big gun. Current June 2017: Get in flying C-47 (WWII Army DC-3). See restoration of wooden wing trainer. See annual inspection and repainting of SNJ (Navy version of Army T6 Texan).

This is a must stop. Great display and the volunteer staff are veteran's! So knowledgeable.....and we were able to walk onto the famous Blue Bonnet airplane....support this place ya'll!

Great Aviation Museum. Lots of interesting artifacts and good staff to answer questions and help show you around.

L17 Navion finished annual inspection and is flying guests. Arrange flights in C-47 and L-17 on line or at museum. SNJ parts should be back from painting and flying guests soon. Next HLS air show Saturday September 9, 2017 Burnet airport!

Nice air museum...to bad it has more closed time than opened time.
